one of the world’s oldest SPIN organizations (more than 25 years old) and is one of the only 130 exclusive SPINs in the world.
SPIN Chennai was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit organization and is one of the exclusive & dynamic SPINs amongst the 100 SPINs in the world today. It is affiliated to USA based Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute and has been helping the Indian industry navigate the world of Software processes, Management Models and Technology Landscape by leading from the front.
Chennai SPIN(CSPIN) has been the pioneer in promoting various high maturity quality and management practices, processes, frameworks and models including CMMI 2.0, ISO(various flavors), Six Sigma, Lean, TOC, BS7799, GDPR, Agile, Malcolm Baldridge, Balanced Score Card, Blue Ocean Strategy, 5S, 7QC Tools, TQM, ESG etc

Working Committee
Working Committee comprise of dedicated professionals, who aspire to contribute towards SPIN Chennai initiatives and activities. Working Committees are constituted by the President on the advice of the Steering Committee. Working group shall be headed by a committee member but may consist of non-members. Working Committees may be permanent or temporary (for a specific event).
